THE LAST FLIGHT OF PETR GINZ
Dir. Sandy Dickson and Churchill Roberts (67min, USA, 2011)
Documentary
DC Premiere

Cinematographer, Editor and Associate Director Cindy Hill and Associate Director Cara Pilson expected

Animated sequences bring to life the imagination of Petr Ginz, a gifted young artist from Prague. By 14, at the dawn of World War II he had written five novels. By 16 he had produced over 170 drawings and paintings, edited an underground magazine in the Theresienstadt Ghetto, written numerous short stories and walked to the gas chamber at Auschwitz. Both tragedy and celebration, this story is a testament to a boy’s wonder and creative expression.
