VOLUNTEER BENEFITS
It’s fun to be a Festival Volunteer! You get to know terrific people in your community and appreciate film together. And, of course, there’s always the free film tickets…

For every full shift that you work as a volunteer, you will get 1 voucher for a standby ticket to the film of your choice, excluding Opening and Closing Nights, sold-out screenings. To get a standby seat, you come to the film of your choice and wait until all patrons with paid tickets have been seated. This will be in the last 5 minutes before a film starts. There is no guarantee of seating as a standby at any screening. Any film that you absolutely do not want to miss, please buy a ticket.

Anytime a volunteer would like, you can receive a pass for 2 to any WJFF Year-Round screening held at the DCJCC between January 1-November 30, 2012.  Just request the year-round pass instead of the Festival ticket. This guarantees that even volunteers working the last few days of the Festival will get a film benefit!

Keep in mind when selecting the shifts you want to work that you often will not be able to see the film that is screening during the shift that you are working. Permission to view the film during your shift is at the discretion of the theater operations manager and is based on need for volunteer help during that time
