SHADOW IN BAGHDAD

A young Iraqi journalist sets out to write about Linda Abdel Aziz Menuhin, who escaped to Israel in the early 70's and whose father, a prominent lawyer, had been kidnapped in Baghdad. The continuous dialog between the two, slowly uncovers the tragic end of her father, as well as that of a whole Jewish community that thrived in Iraq for over 2000 years.
The clip talk will be followed by a panel moderated by prominent legal scholar, attorney, filmmaker, and senior Fulbright recipient Carole Basri.
Harold Rhode is an American specialist on the Middle East. He worked as an analyst at the Pentagon for 28 years, and was the Advisor on Islamic Affairs in the Office of the Secretary of Defense.
Duki Dror is an Israeli-born son of an Iraqi-Jewish expatriate, and is one of Israel's most prolific and prestigious documentary filmmakers. Shadow in Baghdad is his eleventh film.
Linda Menuhin is a journalist and commentator in Middle East affairs in both the Israeli and Arab media, and an Iraqi-born peace activist. She is the subject of Shadow in Baghdad.
