 Jerry Lewis reads from his new book, Dean & Me: A Love Story, a memoir co-authored by James Kaplan that traces Lewis’s 50-year relationship with Dean Martin. The beloved comedic duo that soared to popularity in post-World War II America, Lewis and Martin eventually went solo due to personal differences.

Local poets Jane Shore, Joshua Weiner, Faye Moskowitz and Carolivia Herron read from their work. Enjoy wine and cheese (certified kosher for Passover) surrounded by the “Different Nights: Interpretations of the Seder by Contemporary Artists” exhibit in the Ann Loeb Bronfman Gallery.

In honor of Black History Month, historian Peter Ascoli, will be speaking about his new published work, the first new biography in half a century of his grandfather Julius Rosenwald: Julius Rosenwald: The Man Who Built Sears, Roebuck and Advanced the Cause of Black Education in the American South.  He draws from never-before-discovered family papers and primary sources to paint a broad and compelling portrait of this extraordinary humanitarian.
