Director of Marketing and Communications
THEATER J seeks a Director of Marketing and Communications to be part of Theater J’s dynamic Marketing Team and promote the theater and expand our audience base through marketing, press and outreach.
Must be creative, resourceful, motivated, with excellent writing skills and a desire to further the artistic goals of the theater with 2+ years of experience. The Director of Marketing and Communications will report to Theater J’s Managing Director, and work closely with the Community Outreach & Creative Director and the Director of Patron Services.
Responsibilities include: developing and executing marketing strategies including direct mail, social media, promotions and advertising for Theater J’s brand, season and individual productions; overseeing the tracking and meeting of sales goals in conjunction with the marketing team; forming strategic partnerships and creating co-promotional opportunities; acting as the liaison to local and national press; and managing the marketing department budget.
• Bachelors Degree
• 2+ years experience in marketing and communications
• Knowledge of cultural arts, theater, and local media outlets
• Strong writing skills
• Strategic thinker
• Good organizational and administrative skills, with the ability to multi-task
• Ability to work independently and be a team player
• Knowledge of the Jewish community a plus

Phone Campaign Associate
THEATER J seeks a part-time Phone Campaign Associate to be part of Theater J's subscription campaign team. 10-15 hours per week, Sunday through Thursday. Schedule to be determined but daytime as well as early evening availability preferred. This position requires the ability to dynamically engage audiences by phone regarding the upcoming season. A background in sales, campaigning and/or the performing arts a plus. Must be patient and resilient, with basic Microsoft Office skills.
