Beyond the Stage
Discussions and Outreach
Artistic Director's Roundtable Discussions
Theater J is dedicated to taking its dialogues beyond the stage, offering an array of innovative public discussion forums and outreach programs which explore the theatrical, psychological and social elements of our art. Discussions take place weekly following virtually every Sunday matinee performance. Entrance is free with a ticket to any mainstage production.

Peace Cafés
The Peace Café is a forum where people of various faiths, backgrounds and nationalities come together to break bread and respond to cultural presentations of often difficult issues presented in our productions. These generally occur post show on Thursday evenings.Click here for current Peace Cafes
Passports Program
Theater J’s PASSPORTS Program is designed to embolden D.C. area high school students to actively engage in the immediate, compelling story-telling of live theater. A natural extension of Theater J’s mission, PASSPORTS exposes culturally under-served students to the wealth of historical events, philosophies and human experiences that theater addresses.
