Theater J is located within the Washington DCJCC, 4 blocks east of Dupont Circle. 


By Car

Getting to the Washington DCJCC by car is easy from any direction. Pay parking garages are available nearby and limited street parking is also available in the early afternoon, evenings, and weekends. Check the interactive map below for driving directions or click here.

By Public Transit

The Washington Metropolitan Area Transit Authority (WMATA) offers regular service on both Metro and Bus within walking distance of the Washington DCJCC.

Take the Metro Red Line to Dupont Circle. Exit at Q Street (North entrance). Walk east on Q Street, crossing over Connecticut Avenue. The Center is located four blocks away on Q Street at the Southeast Corner of 16th Street and Q Street.

The Washington DCJCC is also accessible via the S1, S2, or S4 Metrobus.

By Bike
The Washington DCJCC is accessible by the city's public bicycle routes. Bike racks are available for securing your bike. A Capital BikeShare station is located two blocks away on 17th NW & Corcoran St. NW. To plan your bicycle route, visit www.ridethecity.com.

Parking

Street Parking on nearby streets is limited. Patrons are strongly encouraged to park in the nearby Colonial Parking Garages located at 1616 P Street NW (between 16th and 17th Streets), and at 1515 15th Street (entrance on P. St) or at the Washington DCJCC Lot located adjacent to the DCJCC.

Fri: 7am-12am
Sat: 8am-12am
Sun: 8am-11pm

NEW! 1515 15th Street NW (between 14th and 15th Streets, Entrance on P Street opposite Whole Foods) - $20 weeknights, $12 weekends. 1515 P Street lot closes at 10pm nightly.

Limited availability
$5 for Washington DCJCC members or matinee subscribers; $8 for evening subscribers. Must present ticket stub.

Accessibility

Theater J provides Access for patrons using wheelchairs, walkers, canes or crutches. Ample doorways and ramps provide easy wheelchair accessibility. Specially equipped restrooms are on the lobby level.

Removeable Seats provide patrons with the opportunity to be seated with their companions while sitting in their wheelchair.  Please inform the sales office of your needs at the time of ticket purchase and indicate if companion seats are required as well.
       
Open Captioning is offered during one performance of each Theater J production, for our patrons who are hard of hearing or deaf.

Assisted Listening Devices are free-of-charge and available on a first come, first-served basis for all Theater J performances.

You can request these of an usher before entering the theater. Patrons are asked to provide a name and phone number when checking out a device.

Large print programs are available upon request.
