New Free Program:

SUNDAYS AT THE J: SUMMER 2012 SCHEDULE

Please note: Story Time at the J will meet on May 13 and May 20, and will then not meet until the beginning of the summer session.

During the summer, Story Time at the J (for ages 0-4 years old) will alternate with Baby Lap Time (for pre-walking babies, age 0-14 months).  See below for program descriptions.

Summer Schedule:
June 17 – Baby Lap Time
June 24 – Story Time
July 1 -- Baby Lap Time
July 8: No programs 
July 15 – Story Time
July 22 – Baby Lap Time
July 29 – Story Time
August 5 – Baby Lap Time
August 12 –Story Time
August 19 – Baby Lap Time

These programs begin at 10:00 am and meet in the Etzim Room (Preschool classroom 5, 2nd floor).

These programs are FREE, with no reservation required, but attendance is limited to the first 15 children.  All children must be accompanied by caregivers at all time. 

PROGRAM DESCRIPTIONS: 

BABY LAP TIME (pre-walking babies, age 0-14 months)
Snuggle and bond with your new baby as we sing, tickle, kiss, and bounce our way into a lifelong love of language and reading! You’ll learn new rhymes and songs to sing with your baby, be introduced to developmentally appropriate read-aloud books, and join your baby in cooperative group play!  This program is led by Reading Specialist and children's librarian Rachel Scheer.

STORY TIME AT THE J (ages 0-4 years old)
Join us at the J for a weekly free story hour and playtime!  From 10-10:30, enjoy free play in our preschool space, then gather on the carpet from 10:30-11 for stories and songs led by a 16th Street J Preschool teacher.
