Zumba® Kids Jr. classes are a dance ‘n’ play party for lil’ feet where pint-sized party animals get silly, dream big and begin their journey to a healthy future. This program is where 4- to 6-year-olds just let loose and be themselves – little bundles of natural energy that are endlessly curious about new sounds and experiences! Here they can socialize, move to age-appropriate music and play games with other kids.

The Zumba® Kids program is the ultimate dance-fitness party for young Zumba fans ages 7-11, where they can play it loud and rock with friends to their own rules! This program features age-appropriate music and moves that get kids movin’ to the beat. It’s all about feeling fearless on the dance floor, reinforcing the idea that it’s okay to just be yourself and dance like no one’s watching!

When students are not in class they will have the opportunity to participate in the Wednesday Art program as a part of Traditional After Care, and have time for games, sports, and homework.

    Sing Disney (PreK-1st)

In this class, students explore story and character using Disney favorites such as Aladdin, Mary Poppins, and Beauty and the Beast as their springboards. Using music, dance, and drama, this class gives students a chance to develop the concepts of melody, rhythm, pitch, and timbre as well as storytelling and unique characters. Parents are invited to observe the last 30 minutes of the final class for an informal sharing where the students share what they have learned in class.

    FUNdamentals of Musical Theatre (2nd-5th)

This class combines two of the three disciplines that make up the genre of Musical Theatre: acting and singing.  In FUNdamentals of Musical Theatre, students work on creating believable characters for the stage as well as developing singing skills.  Students participate in fun acting activities that focus on realistic actions and reactions.  Vocal technique sections aim to develop healthy singing practices, warm-up routines, and musicianship skills.  Through games and exercises, students build a strong and caring ensemble with their fellow classmates in order to promote an environment of trust where they can effectively explore, make big choices, and take risks with characters!  By the end of the semester, students share two to four musical theatre selections from popular Broadway musicals chosen for their focus on story and character.  Their work on these song selections utilizes the skills they have been learning throughout the semester.  Parents will be invited to observe the last 30 minutes of the last class for an informal sharing where students share what they have learned in class.
