For the 2010-2011 school year, we have availability only in our 2 1/2 year olds' class and our 3-year olds' classes. However, we are accepting waitlist applications and will contact you should a space become available. The list is longest for the younger classes, but if you are not offered a placement, we will keep you on the waitlist until you ask us to take your family off.
If you would like to have your child join our preschool family, please register for the waitlist online or download a waitlist application (wait-list Application-PDF or Preschool Waitlist Application (Word doc)) to mail, fax or drop off.
For the 2010-2011 school year (starting in September 2010), here is our general timeline:
January 2010: we will send an email to all of the families on the waitlist confirming each child's contact information as well as the schedule for fall admissions. This is also the time for re-enrollment for all currently enrolled families (which determines how many classes will be allocated to each age group).
late January: we will make the first two rounds of announcements for the first group of 2-year old classes (children 3 and under). If you do not make it in the first round, do not panic. We will let you know, and we will continue admissions on a rolling basis. Families will have a strict deadline for contracts and deposits upon acceptance (generally one week). If we do not receive a confirmation by that deadline, we will offer the spot to the next family on the list.
February 2010: we will make announcments for the first group of 3 and 4 year olds new to our school. Please see above for details.
A quick primer on our waitlist:
Priority on the waitlist is determined by two factors: if an older sibling has attended or does attend our Preschool and then by date of application.
We continue a rolling admissions process throughout the year, contacting parents as spaces become available.
We do not require tours, but we are happy to schedule one with you to better acquaint you with our program.
When accepted, we will send an email with the enrollment forms. We can also mail this information to your home.
Signed contracts are binding for the duration of the school year, and we do not refund deposits. To confirm your space in our program, you must complete the contract and pay for September 2009 and August 2010, plus the applicable activity fee.
The Preschool is licensed for children ages 2–5; therefore, a child must have had his/her second birthday in order to start preschool. If your child is turning two after September 2 but before the end of December, we are able to offer you a spot for them to start after their 2nd birthday, but you will need to pay tuition for those months to hold the space. If you would like to defer, we can put you back on the list for consideration as spaces become available.
All accepted students must return their paperwork by the deadline specified (usually 5-6 business days), or we will offer the placement to the next family on the list. You may also choose to defer the placement to the following school year or to decline the offer.
