Preschool Parent Handbook

The Preschool Parent Handbook (PDF) answers many of the Frequently Asked Questions about the school's policies, procedures and programming.  If you have a question that's not answered in here, please email the Director. 

Required Forms for Current Students

Preschool Enrollment Packet (part 1)
Includes the Tuition Schedule, Enrollment Contract, Authorization for Deposit Payments and Authorization for Recurring Payments required to confirm enrollment (for families accepted off the waitlist for the 2008-2009 school year).

Preschool Enrollment Packet (part 2)
The second part of the forms required for each child: Emergency Information Form, Permission to Take Off School grounds, Authorization for Child's Emergency Medical Treatment, Membership Letter, Enrollment Information Sheet and the DC Health Certificate.

Individual Forms:

• DC Health Form for Preschoolers
  This form must be updated annually and needs to show the results of TB testing, lead screening and an immunization history.  Please make sure that it is dated!
• Emergency Contact and Pick-Up Form
• Enrollment Information Questionnaire
• Permission to Take Off Grounds
• Authorization for Child's Emergency Medical Treatment
• Dental Health Form (required for all children 3 years and older)
• Authorization for Recurring Payments

Preschool Tuition Schedule 2008–2009

Our school offers only a full day standard tuition option (7:30 am-6:00 pm).  You may, of course, pick up your child before the end of the school day if that works better for your needs.

The students are in an Early Bird room before 9:00 am and with their class and teachers after 9:00 am.

Registration Fee:  September 2008 tuition, August 2009 tuition + Activity Fee

Please note that families enrolled in the Preschool must maintain current membership in the Washington DCJCC

* The Activity Fee covers field trips, extra classes (like swimming), special events and entertainers; it must be paid once per school year.

** The Preschool is licensed for children ages 2–5; therefore, a child must have had his/her second birthday in order to start preschool.  If your child is turning two after September 2 but before the end of December, we are able to offer you a spot for them to start after their 2nd birthday, but you will need to pay tuition for those months to hold the space.  If you would like to defer, we can put you back on the list for consideration as spaces become available.
