The Washington DCJCC Co-ed Social Softball League was started in 1983 to provide members of the Washington DC Jewish community with an opportunity to play softball and meet new people in a friendly and relaxed atmosphere. The formula has been a tremendous success story—from six teams in 1983, the league has grown to 30 teams and more than 500 players, making it one of the largest softball leagues in the Washington metropolitan area.
