On Monday and Wednesday, November 23 and 25, Morris Cafritz Center for Community Service Department of the Washington DC Jewish Community Center will organize 400 volunteers to prepare 10,000 servings of food for people in need in the metropolitan area. In order to keep with the Jewish dietary laws we cooked Everything... but the Turkey. We hope you will join us to prepare all of this food.
We will provide a hearty Thanksgiving Day meal for the 2,000 residents of the Community for Creative Non-Violence (CCNV) homeless shelter, the largest in the country. In addition to supplying food to CCNV, our partner, DC Central Kitchen will distribute the remaining food to local homeless shelters, transitional housing facilities and community kitchens in DC.EBTT Frequently Asked Questions
